Probation Violations

Black’s Law Dictionary (4th ed 1951)
defines probation as:

“An act of grace and clemency which may be granted by the trial court to a seemingly deserving defendant whereby such defendant

may escape the extreme rigors of the penalty imposed by the law for which he stands convicted.”

All too often Defendant’s forget that the a sentence of probation is an “act of grace and clemency,” as well as a product of their attorney’s hard

work and advocacy on their behalf. If you are accused of violating your probationary term, it’s time to regroup and start over.

We have represented individuals in all sorts of probation violation proceedings. We have saved deferred sentence statuses such as Holmes

Youthful Trainee Act (HYTA) and MCL 333.7411 (7411).
